Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership program coordinated by Rotary Clubs around the globe. Each year, thousands of young people participate in this program. RYLA started in 1972 with only 100 participants, but now there are 350 participants annually.  RYLA events are organized locally by Rotary clubs and districts for participants ages 14-30.

Each year two deserving eleventh graders get chosen to participate in the leadership conference based on their past and present leadership skills. The two eleventh graders this year are Grace Dougherty and Makayla Guntrum. Grace and Makayla were selected for the RYLA conference this summer at West Minister. When the girls attend this camp, they will learn leadership skills. A big congratulations to both girls, Grace and Makayla!
