The theme for the March lobby showcase is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness. This month’s showcase was designed by Mrs. Ripple’s and Mrs. McIntire’s Vo-Tech homerooms.
According to www.biausa.org, March is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month. The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) observes Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month by conducting an awareness campaign in March of every year. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Not Alone”.
This year’s campaign was designed to provide a platform for educating the public about the incidence of traumatic brain injuries, as well as the needs of people with these type of injuries. The campaign also uses different types of outreach to try and de-stigmatize the injuries. BIAA also tries to empower the people who have survived traumatic brain injuries and promote the many types of support that are available.
