FFA Week Coming up

FFA Week is right around the corner and our FFA members have some great plans for us.  The one event they do every year is the food drive.  That food drive will be going on until February 22.   The club will provide a doughnut and milk breakfast to the homeroom that brings in the most items.

Since scheduling is starting, FFA students will be giving tours and presentations to 8th graders about the Ag classes offered here at Redbank.   The students will get to tour the greenhouse and see a few selected farm animals.

To keep the tradition going, the club is also hosting Ag Olympics Friday, February 24, in the gym.  There will be horse stick races, hay bale staking, tractor driving, and a milk chugging contest.  There will also be a “cow milking contest” and “kiss the pig” contest for teachers.

One last thing the club has planned is “Farmer Friday”.  FFA encourages you to dress like a farmer or at least wear plaid and jeans.
