Introducing Redbank Valley’s Swap Shop

Kylie Drayer, Contributor

Do you have a bunch of clothes that you no longer wear? Mrs. Decker and Mrs. Ripple have a solution. They will be opening a Swap Shop in Mrs. Ripple’s room. To learn more about this, read the following interview with Mrs. Decker:

What is a swap shop?

Somewhere students can go to pick out free clothing, or bring gently used items to “swap”. You must give these items to Mrs Ripple or Mrs. Decker directly. The shop is located in Mrs. Ripple’s room, 103.

What inspired you to open the Swap Shop?

I love clothing. I love shopping, but it can get pricey. This is a great way to “recycle” pieces you still love, but are maybe bored with. Someone else may love it and actually wear it!

How will it work?

Students will be able to come and shop. They can take up to five items per visit. This may change due to inventory fluctuation.

When will students be able to visit?

We are going to be open every other Friday from 7:45 – 8:15 AM, during activity period, and from 3:15 – 3:45 PM.

What kind of items are you in need of?

As items are needed, we will hold clothing drives.

Is anyone allowed to visit the Swap Shop?

All students are welcome and encouraged to participate!
