This weekend I went to the beach, and as I sat at the edge of the ocean, I realized something about how the waves move. When a wave comes in, it goes up to the shore a ways. Then, as a new wave comes, the wave that came in before gets sucked into the new wave and makes an even bigger one. It made me realize that no matter how much life’s problems pull you in, you always overcome them and get away from them.

Later, I noticed my little brother was digging a hole in the sand , and he put his shovel down to dig with his hands. When the shovel was taken by the water, he started running towards the ocean screaming, “MY SHOVEL, MY SHOVEL!”  I tried to explain to him that it would come back in from the current,  but he wouldn’t listen. I wished he understood how the waves work.  The movement of the waves would solve his problem.

No matter what happens in my life, I’m going to be okay because life is a wave of good and bad.  I plan to ride the waves.   I will never ever forget what I learned from that one little wave.

I think this story was very true, but also inspiring. it encourages people to look up instead of down wither the times are good or bad.
