  • All 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in playing JR High volleyball please sign up in the cafeteria.

DIY POM POM Rugpompom-diy-rug

Skill level: Intermediate

Cost: $30

Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

  • scissors
  • 2 toilet paper rolls (empty)
  • wool yarn- various colors, textures and sizes
  • non-stick rug mat

Instructions:

  1.  Stick fingers into the rolls and start wrapping the yarn around both.
  2.  Keep wrapping until you get the size you want.
    1. Reminder that the sizes of each pom pom should be different
  3.  Cut Another piece of string and weave it between the two rolls, so that it is in the middle and wraps around the entire thing.
  4.  Tie that same strand once and remove both rolls by pulling them out.
  5.  Tie an even tighter knot, but leave long strands. These ends will be used to attach the pom pom to the rug mat.
  6.  Snip through the loops the whole way around and then attach to your mat.

DIY Flower Lightsdownload (1)

Skill: Easy

Time: 20 min.

Cost: $15

Supplies:

  • Scissors
  • Cupcake liners
  • String Christmas lights
  • Tape

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cupcake liners with scissors into flower and leaf shapes
  2. Poke a hole in the center for where the light will go
  3. Tape the pattern to the back of the Light
