DIY Mother’s Day Gifts 5-2-16

Gardening Gift Basket
Cost: under $20
Skill Level: Easy
Time: 20 Minutes
Supplies Needed:
- Empty paint bucket (found at Lowes)
- Gloves
- Shovel/gardening tools
- Seed packets
- Skewers
- Tape
- Confetti or tissue paper to fill the bottom of the bucket
- Ribbon
Instructions:
1. Tape the skewers to the back of the seed packets.
2. Fill your bucket with the confetti (or other filler) and place the gardening tools and seed packets inside.
3. Tie ribbon around your paint bucket.

Mason Jar Planter Box
Cost: $10
Time: 1 Hour
Skill level: Difficult
Supplies Needed:
- 1- 1×4″ Furring Strip
- 3- 12″ Pieces
- 2- 2.5 Pieces
- 3 Mason Jars
- Gorilla Glue
- 2 Screen Door Pulls
- A few finish nails
- Paint color or stain of your choice
Steps:
- First attach the 3-12″ pieces with glue and nails
- Now add 2- 2.5 Pieces on the ends
- Paint the box
- Secure the door pulls one on each end
- Add flowers in each mason jar
- Give to MOM !
- Even If mom doesn’t like flowers you can still make this box for another use!
- Ex: Fill with Cookout Utensils or Even S’mores Supplies
