Verse of the Week:

Philippians 1: 6

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Today’s lesson was given by Kathryn Crawford and she did an outstanding job.  The title of her lesson was “Struggles and Suffering” and she shared her struggle with bulimia last year.  She explained that we all have struggles, and Jesus can rescue us from them if we just let Him. In Kat’s case, she had hit a dry spot in her faith, and because of that, her struggles arose.  Consequently, as soon as she got herself back into reading the Word of God, she was released.

The scripture used today was found in 2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘my grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Also quoted was Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” and 2 Corinthians 12:10 “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Kat did an amazing job of sharing her struggles, and that would not have been easy.

If you are going through a struggle, we will be praying for you.
