As the new year starts and we take a step back and reflect upon 2015, it’s funny to examine the pop culture. You can get a good chuckle out of all the ridiculous slang terms and trends that came about through the year. Below is a list of the things that have managed to “break the internet” this year. Buckle your seat belts–here it is!

  46. “Finna” – abbreviation of “fixing to”. Normally meaning going to. ex: We’re finna get a burger, you coming?
  47. “Fam” – short for family. Usually referring to your friend group. used to describe your friends or someone you can trust deeply. ex: The fam and I are so close, we do everything together.
  48. “Bae” – meaning “before anyone else”. Used to refer to your significant other. ex: Bae and I have been together for 6 months.
  49. “Yaaaas” – meaning yes, but said very loudly and drawn out in order to show that you really approve of something ex: Isn’t McDreamy so handsome? YAAAAS!
  50. “…or nah?” – usually used at the end of a question. It means “or no?”. ex: Do you wanna go to the mall …or nah?
