The Capsule

The Capsule

Mackenzie Pence, Assistant Editor

The times we had were endless,

At least that’s what I thought.

The memories were so ageless,

That lived inside this box.

Buried beneath the dirt,

With the things we held so true,

Now show pain and hurt,

And means nothing at all to you.

We said we’d see them soon,

Graduation, 2016.

When we had gotten a little older,

At the age of 18.

But the box will stay forever,

Buried oh so deep.

The memories are shattered and severed,

And have forever fallen asleep.
