Junior High Student Feature


This week’s Junior High Student Feature is Sydney Kirkpatrick, an eighth grade student at Redbank Valley High School. In an interview with The Bark, Sydney shared a little about herself.

Q: What is your favorite class or classes this year? Why?

A: My favorite classes are Civics and Algebra 1. I enjoy Civics because I like to learn about our government and how it works. I also enjoy Algebra 1 because it challenges me to work my hardest.

Q: What are your thoughts on 8th grade so far?

A: I love 8th grade so far because the teachers are helpful and very funny.

Q: What extracurricular activities or clubs do you participate in?

A: The extracurricular activities or clubs I participate in are Bible Club, Choir, Show Choir, and Youth Group.

Q: Do you like 8th grade or did you like 7th grade more? Why?

A: I personally like 8th grade better because I enjoy the teachers and what I am learning from them.

Q: What would you change about high school and why?

A: I honestly enjoy high school and wouldn’t change anything about it.

Q: What is one interesting fact or talent you have about you that most people may not know?

A: A talent that most people may not know is that my passion in life is horses. I have trained my horses from a young age. My goal is that I make it to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. As well as, to be the first one to graduate from Redbank Valley to receive a rodeo scholarship.
