This week’s Junior High Student feature is Mitchell Parker, an eighth grade student at Redbank Valley High School. In an interview with The Bark, Mitchell told us a little bit about himself.

What is your favorite class or classes this year? Why?

My favorite classes this year are gym and civics. I like gym because I love to be active, and I like Civics because Dr. Harmon makes small jokes that make me laugh.

What are your thoughts on 8th grade so far this year?

So far, I love 8th grade. It is so fun because the teachers motivate me and make me laugh, which makes me feel great.

What extracurricular activities or clubs do you participate in?

The extracurricular activities and clubs I participate in is Bible Club.

What do you expect the rest of your high school career to look like?

I expect the rest of my high school career to be a lot of fun, and hopefully good grades.

If there was one thing you could change about the high school, what would it be? Why?

I feel a sense of hope from every teacher, and they make me love school, so I don’t think I would change anything about the high school.

The Bark will feature a junior high student each week by random selection. We hope you enjoy getting to know some of the newer faces at Redbank Valley High School.
