Q: What high school did you go to?

A: I went to Haverford High School located outside of Philadelpia, PA.

 

Q: What college did you go to?

A: Clarion University

 

Q: What extracurricular activities did you participate in during high school and college?

A: Cross Country and Track & Field – of course.

 

Q: What made you decide to be a teacher?

A: My brother loved it and his enthusiasm toward teaching made me want to do it also.

 

Q: What is one of your favorite teaching memories?

A: Teaching in Pittsburgh and getting the opportunity to go to Japan to learn about their education system.

 

Q: What is one local, state, or national educational issue that you would like to see resolved?

A: I would like see less standardized testing and the growing frustration that comes with budgeting issues in small rural districts.

 

Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

A: Running – of course.

 

Q: If you had not chosen to be a teacher, what other career path would you have explored?

A: Plumber
