Super Bowl Preview

In two weeks, Super Bowl XLIX will be played, and questions will be answered; Will Tom Brady and Bill Belichick win their fourth title together?; Or will Richard Sherman and the high-powered Seahawks defense bring a second straight title to Seattle?

This Super Bowl is unique because both teams are so evenly matched; both have great offenses, good defenses, and superstar players who are hungry for another ring. Another factor that shows how evenly matched these teams are is their records, both finishing with records of 12-4.

Tom Brady had a great year finishing with 33 touchdowns and just 9 interceptions. Brady also had to overcome media pressure early in the year, as his team got off to a slow start, but eventually finished the year winning 10 of their final 12 games in the regular season, and defeating Baltimore and demolishing Indianapolis en route to New England’s fifth Super Bowl in the Brady-Belichick era.

The Seahawks are no slouch team, though. After all, they are the defending champs and proved that with another great year. The Seahawks started off slow as well, starting 3-3, but finishing the regular season by winning 9 of their last 10 games and defeating Carolina and Green Bay in overtime. A big factor has been the play of QB Russell Wilson, Who finished with 20 touchdown passes and just 7 interceptions to go along with over 800 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns on the ground. Marshawn Lynch was also great, yet again, finishing with over 1,300 yards and 13 touchdown rushing. Combine that lethal combo on offense with the great play of the defense led by Richard Sherman, you have a team who is hungry for a second straight Super bowl title, and a recipe for an exciting final game of the 2014 NFL season.
