The Big 3 Project

By: Lilly Shaffer, Jack Shaffer, Jeffery Douglas, and Cole McHenry

The Big Three Project is a timeline assignment about the first three presidents, George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson.  The freshman history classes, taught by Mr. Craig, were assigned groups and worked during class on a poster that contained four events attributed to each president.

Students had to demonstrate research skills in finding the presidential events;  creativity in developing a theme for the poster; artistic skills in illustrating the events according to the selected theme; and speaking skills when presentations were made to the class.

Overall, Mr. Craig thought that both the posters and presentations were good this year, and he plans to continue this project in future years.  Enjoy the slideshow attached of this year’s projects.
