What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends? Most people enjoy going to or watching movies. The year 2019 will hold all of the spectacular sequels that we have all been waiting for.

1.) Avengers: Endgame-(aka Avengers 4)

Release date: May 3, 2019     Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Cast: Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Josh Brolin(Thanos), and more.

If you love watching the Avengers movies, make sure you watch this one when it comes out. Thanos has obliterated over half of the world and plans to make sure that the world is completely destroyed. Now, the heroes are returning to action and are making sure that the world is put back together into one piece.

2.) IT: Chapter 2

Release date: September 6, 2019    Genre: Horror, Thriller

Cast: James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise), Bill Hader(Richie Tozier)

Everyone has heard of Stephen King’s IT. In 2018 it was remade into a two-part horror film. Anyone who loves scary movies should definitely watch  IT Chapter 1 and II Chapter 2. Trailers hint that Pennywise will return. The catch?  The kids he once tortured aren’t kids anymore.

3.) Spider-Man: Far From Home – (Spider-Man 2)

Release date: July 5, 2019   Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy

Cast: Zendaya (Michelle Jones), Jake Gyllenhaal (Quentin Beck/Mysterio), Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury)

If your favorite superhero is Spider-Man, and you enjoyed watching the Spider-Man movies as a kid, you should definitely watch the new Spider-Man 2 movie. Spider-Man, Peter Parker, is played by Tom Holland. In this sequel, Peter Parker goes on a school trip to Europe with his classmates, but while there, he gets recruited by Nick Fury, and he is partnered up with Mysterio to destroy the Elementals.

4.) Star Wars: IX

Release date: December 20, 2019   Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Cast: Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker)

If you grew up watching the Star Wars movies as a kid and you enjoy watching people battle with light sabers, then you should watch the new Star Wars movie that releases in December. This new movie will be the finale to the Star Wars Trilogy. We will be able to see the truthful fate of Rey and Kylo Ren after the passing of Luke Skywalker.

5.) Fighting with My Family

Release date: February 14, 2019     Genre: Biography, Comedy, Drama

Cast: Dwayne Johnson (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), Vince Vaughn (Hutch), Florence Pugh (Raya Knight), Aqueela Zoll (Kirsten)

If you enjoy watching Monday Night Raw with your family and you’re a huge wrestling fan, this movie is for you. This movie is about a former wrestler and his family that are making a living by performing at tiny local places around the entire country, but  his kids’ dreams are to join the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

6.) The Prodigy

Release date: February 8, 2019     Genre: Horror, Thriller

Cast: Jackson Robert Scott (Miles), Taylor Schilling (Sarah), Paula Boudreau (Dr. Elaine Strasser), Colm Feore ( Arthur Jacobson)

You should watch this movie if you’re a fan of scary movies. This movie is about a mother who is worried about her young son’s alarming behavior, and there is a concern something mysterious may be bothering him.

7.) Happy Death Day 2U

Release date: February 13, 2019    Genre: Horror, Mystery, Thriller

Cast: Jessica Rothe (Tree Gelbman), Israel Broussard (Carter Davis), Phi Vu (Ryan  Phan), Ruby Modine (Lori Spengler)

If you’ve seen the first Happy Death Day then, you should definitely see the second one to find out what happens to Tree and Carter. In Happy Death Day 2U, Tree finds out that when you die over and over again it’s easy, but this time she has to save her friends from a masked serial killer.

8.) Zombieland: Double Tap

Release date: October 11, 2019     Genre: Action, Comedy, Horror

Cast: Emma Stone (Wichita), Woody Harrelson (Tallahassee), Jesse Eisenberg (Columbus), Bill Murray (Bill Murray)

Once again, it’s time to put up or shut up because Zombieland is back and better than ever. In Zombieland: Double Tap, Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock move to the American heartland, where they will battle against evolved zombies, fellow survivors, and the growing struggles of their temporary family.

9.) Five Feet Apart

Release date: March 15, 2019      Genre: Drama, Romance

If you enjoy romance movies, this is the one for you. Five Feet Apart is about a guy and a girl that have a very dangerous disease.  They meet in a hospital, and they fall in love with each other. The catch? They have to stay further than five feet from each other.
