Another Broken Record

After breaking multiple records during football season, Jake Dougherty is continuing his streak on the basketball court.

On December 16th, while playing Central Tech in a tournament held at Franklin High School, Jake broke a Redbank Valley record for most points scored in a high school career.

This record was previously held by Darren Duhnke after he scored 1,258 points in high school. Jake went into the game needing roughly 20 points to top Darren Duhnke’s score, and he succeeded.

By the end of Thursday, Jake Dougherty became the new record holder, scoring a total of 1,259 points throughout the last four years. With many weeks left in the season, Jake is very confident that he will continue to increase this number.
