In this new PG-13 rated horror film – Olivia, Lucas, Markie, and their group of college friends travel to Mexico for their final spring break. On their last night out of the country, a stranger convinces the group to leave a party and follow him to an abandoned church. While they were there, Connor convinces them to play “Truth or Dare?” Seemingly harmless, the group plays the game. It starts off with simple and rather stupid truth and dares, but then Connor leaves. While Connor is fleeing, Olivia chases him. “Tell the truth, do the dare, don’t play you die.” These are the rules Olivia is given before Connor flees. Push comes to shove, and the game becomes all too real. They learn quickly what the rules mean, as well as the consequences of not following them. Friendships are tested and bonds are broken, but in the end, it all boils down to one question… Truth or Dare?

I would give this movie a 5-star rating for multiple reasons. I am a horror film fanatic; I love them. I watch at least one scary movie every weekend, sometimes more. Normally right from the start, you can predict how the movie will end, who will die, and how.  This movie is the definition of different. For once the ending was surprising to me. I never would have guessed how it ended; there is quite the twist. I hope that they release a sequel because there are some loose ends that need tied up. Overall, this film is one of my favorites, and I will most certainly watch it again.
