The Big Three
The Big Three Project is a timeline of the first three presidents of the United States: George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. This project was for ninth grade History I class. The reason for doing the project is to develop research skills while gaining a greater understanding of the 1700s and early 1800s.
Students discussed the first three presidents briefly, and by putting the information on a timeline, the students saw exactly what happened while these presidents were in command. The project was assigned on a Friday, the students were given approximately six school days to work in class, and on the seventh and eighth days, the students presented their posters to Mr. Craig and their classmates.
Mr. Craig told students they did a very good job on the posters, and he thought that they understood the historical time period and the contributions The Big Three made to our country’s development. Mr. Craig is going to continue this project in future years.
