Guns N’ Roses –  Sweet Child O’ Mine

Guns N’ Roses is an American hard rock band that originated from Los Angeles, California in 1985.  The band had released six studio albums, and their sales reached over 100 million records worldwide. This includes 45 million in the United States. The members of Guns N’ Roses are ranked as the 41st best-selling artists of all time. Guns N’ Roses album Appetite for Destruction reached number one on the Billboard 200 exactly one year after its release of their top hit, “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. This top hit was one of GNR’s only single that reached number one on Billboard Hot 100. The band has sold almost 40 million copies worldwide. The band has also released twin albums- Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. These albums were labeled number one and two on Billboard 200 and sold a combined total of 35 million copies worldwide.  Nearly a decade later, GNR released another album called Chinese Democracy. The albums production cost was estimated at $14 million. It is considered the most expensive rock album to to ever be produced in the history of music. It ranked number three in Billboard 200. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, GNR brought what was considered a “hedonistic rebelliousness”, much like the Rolling Stones, a reputation that had earned the group nickname”The Most Dangerous Band in the World”.  The band was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
