Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973. Like most bands, Journey had their ups and downs. During 1978 and 1987, the band was at a peak.  Top hits included Don’t Stop Believin and Open Arms. In 1973 Journey released an album called Escape. Escape was their most popular album. It reached first on Billboard 200. The album also had one of their most popular songs called Open Arms. In 1983 they released an album called Frontiers. This album was their second most famous album. Frontiers reached second on Billboard 200.

Journey was awarded two gold albums, eight multi-platinum albums, and two diamond albums. They have had eighteen “Top 40 Singles” in the U.S. Journey sold 48 million albums in the U.S. They sold over 75 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time. In 2005  USA Today declared Journey as the fifth-best American rock band in history. Their music is still played on rock stations worldwide. Journey was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the class of 2017.
