Boys’ Basketball: Pre-Season Preview

December 11, 2014
After making it to the District-9 Title game last year, and putting up a good fight against the Brookville Raiders, our boys’ basketball team will return to the 2014-15 season with improved talent and skills. Along with the strong returning corps of seniors made up of Devin Shumaker, Jake Dougherty, Khorey Neiswonger, and Zach Westover, we also have a strong set of players who, when their skills are combined, can make a run at a District Title and a trip to States. Also returning are Juniors Dalton Dougherty and Sam Heeter. Heeter, who averaged a little over eight points per game last year, has improved his jump shot over the off-season and is a huge asset to the team we have built. Now, I could go on and on about stats but the big picture that I’m trying to paint is that we have a long road ahead of us, but one thing is for sure, we are a force. With all the talent this years team has, we can make a serious push for the D-9 title and a decent run into states. All teams are now on notice, so watch out – we’re coming.
